Why do we celebrate Father's Day?

Father’s Day is celebrated to honour and appreciate the contributions and influence of fathers and father figures in our lives. For us at The Truffle Pig, in Hythe it’s a day dedicated to expressing gratitude, love, and respect for the paternal figures who play important roles in our families and community.

While the origins of Father’s Day vary across cultures and countries, the sentiment remains the same: to recognise and celebrate the selfless dedication, guidance, and support that fathers provide to their children and families.  Here at the Truffle Pig, Hythe, this is particularly important as we are a family-run business, and Russel, our Dad, is also our Head Chef and will be cooking your Sunday Roast.

Happy Father’s Day, Russell. We wouldn’t be here without you. x
